Fynbos caters for up to 20 people in the farmhouse and
up to 80 in the Pavilion.
Fynbos has a reputation for its delicious country food, and whenever possible, we use our own vegetables, fresh fish and free-range birds. (This often determines the menu.) We offer a wide range of cooking styles, from Cape Malay to Mediterranean. As well as being a wine-maker, Johan is also a wonderful chef. He loves to experiment with new dishes (which is a great pleasure for the rest of us!). Portions are generous enough that no one leaves Fynbos hungry.

Natural beauty and outstanding cuisine combine to make Fynbos an ideal eating venue for all kinds of gatherings, and celebrations as well as workshops and retreats.
People love to sit outside on the veranda or gather around the stinkwood table in the dining room. They revel in the idyllic atmosphere of the Pavilion and its courtyards. The garden also offers many special spots, including the gardens around the swimming pool.
We enjoy to make and serve food that is special to your particular
taste, and would be happy to discuss with you your choice of menu
and your selection of wines.
Dragonridge wines are made on Fynbos Estate in the old traditional
way. They have done well competitively and can be bought directly
from the farm or delivered to you.
Currently we make two reds and two whites as well as a very popular
robust dry rose.
When you visit us, you may wish to taste our wine, by prior arrangement.
We offer wine-tasting lunches on the farm, as well as wine blending
and wine making weekend getaways.
