"Fynbos is an absolutely magical place to host a wedding celebration"

The Ceremony
Fynbos Estate offers a variety of outdoor and indoor possibilities for all kinds of ceremonies. For those wishing to marry outdoors, lawns and gardens surrounding the Farmhouse, offer many different tranquil and beautiful locations.
Should you want to marry indoors, the Chapel, a wine cellar built circa 1850, offers an old-world atmosphere and can accommodate up to 80 guests. For small, less formal ceremonies, there is also the Victorian Farm House with its large Oregon windows, raku fireplace and wrap-around veranda.
Finally, if you are after a taste of adventure and your numbers are very small, the top of the mountain offers spectacular views that stretch from Table Mountain all the way to the Drakenstein range.
The Reception
For a truly magical reception, the Pavilion is on two levels connected by two steps and altogether is 130 square metres in size. It can accommodate under cover up to about 80 with dancing and more without dancing. In good weather, with its sides opened, guests can spill out into the courtyard and patios, leaving its wooden floors free for dancing. Seating can be fashioned either in banquet style or with individual tables.
The Pavilion can be hired on its own or fully catered and is available at any time of the day or night. On a clear night the Pavilion lies beneath a beautiful starry dome, and at certain times of the year the Milky Way fills the night sky.
Catering
Johan is a chef with a fine reputation for delicious country food. He believes that wonderful food is central to making any event a success, and will take great care in creating a menu of all your favourites, whether local, Mediterranean or Eastern style.
Wherever possible Johan uses produce from the Fynbos vegetable garden or neighbouring farms, and portions are always substantial.
Alongside his passion for creating culinary masterpieces with wholesome ingredients, is his passion for making superlative wines, marketed under the Dragonridge label
All Inclusive
Weddings on the farm can encompass all locations for the price of single venue. This includes a place for dressing, holding the ceremony, signing the register, post ceremony drinks and eats, and the reception.
Of course the whole farm and nature reserve are available for chairs, cutlery, crockery, linen, umbrellas and a music system.
The Weekend Wedding
Becoming more and more popular, the weekend wedding allows guests to enjoy the celebrations in a leisurely way. And nowhere could be more perfect for a weekend of fun and leisure than Fynbos Estate. The Farm House, Fynbos House and the Cottage offer comfortable accommodation for up to 28 guests sharing, and there is additional camping space for summer weddings. There is plenty to do, from walking in the vineyards, to wine tasting, to exploring the nature reserve.
And for little ones, our child-friendly farm is a delight. The weekend can be self-catered, partly catered or fully catered.
Parties and Other Celebrations
Whether you party after your marriage or in celebration of a birthday, anniversary, launch or year-end event , the combination of ambiance and wonderful food and wine, cannot but make for success.
Hanging lanterns and candles by night and flowers by day create the appropriate feel for your party. And as with a marriage, why not escape the liquor restrictions and make a weekend of it.
